From June 1-11, New Music Arts Projects presents soundaXis, a city-wide festival celebrating architecture, music and acoustics, which will transform Toronto into a playground of sound and space exploration!

Timed to coincide with the City of Toronto's “TO Live with Culture” campaign, and to celebrate the “Cultural Renaissance” of architectural development that will debut starting in 2006 (including the Royal Ontario Museum, the Opera House, and the Royal Conservatory of Music), soundaXis offers a new way to look, listen and experience the city of Toronto.

Events will be held across the city, presented and hosted by many of Toronto's most innovative arts organizations.

soundaXis in 2006 is the first of what is intended to be a series of recurring festivals, and is the beginning of an ongoing interdisciplinary effort with New Music as the vital link between modes of creative cultural composition and expression.
